Watch Ronaldo's post-match interview as he explains why Real Madrid won Champions League

Real Madrid - Cristiano Ronaldo believes that Real Madrid won the Champions League penalty shootout because they had more "experience".

Real claimed their 11th Champions League, winning 5-3 on penalties after they and bitter rivals Atletico Madrid ended 120minutes 1-1.

A Sergio Ramos goal meant that Real initially took the lead, but a second half equaliser from Carrasco took the game to extra-time.

With neither side managing to put together a winning goal, the game descended to penalties, with Real winning thanks to a Juan Fran miss.

But Real Madrid forward Ronaldo believed that there was a reason why they won on penalties.
Ronaldo  stated: "We showed that our team has more experience and we showed that by scoring all of the penalties, so, it was unbelievable. Fantastic night."

Many of the players, including team-mate Gareth Bale , were suffering from both fatigue and cramp. But Ronaldo stated this was understandable:

"It's difficult, it's the end of the season, people is not fit anymore so we have to rest now and prepare for a great Euro Cup."
