Valencia, Sevilla battle to sign Arsenal stsr Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

VALENCIA and Sevilla are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal stsr Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 23-year-old has made just five starts so far this term and said this week that he may have to move on at the end of the season if he does not get more game time.

And Spanish outlet El Gol Digital claim Valencia and Sevilla are interested in signing the England international.

It is said the La Liga duo are keen to bolster their attacking ranks and are likely to offer Oxlade-Chamberlain the regular game time he is searching for.

However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants Oxlade-Chamberlain, who signed for £12million from Southampton as a 17-year-old in 2011, to be patient and remain at the Emirates.

“Alex did not say that he might leave,” said Wenger. “He said he would consider the situation at the end of the season. I can understand that. But when you buy a player at 17 years of age and you spend a lot of money on him, then you would like him to stay.

“His place is here. We like him. I rate him as a player and I hope that he will show that he can have a stable position in the team until the end of the season.

“This season he has been in a similar position to Theo Walcott because he has worked really hard. But he has not got rewarded yet.”
