Pedro took his mind off Spain's Euro 2016 disappointment and the upcoming Premier League season with Chelsea by spending the day at a zoo in Tenerife.
The Chelsea winger looked to be really enjoying his time at the Loro Parque zoo enclosure and took to social media to share his exploits with his fans.
Pedro, whose day was sealed with a kiss, posted: 'Nice experience today in Loro Parque with my family. Introducing my friend Chago!'
The former Barcelona attacker will soon have to turn his attention to more important matters with Chelsea, as they look to improve on a dismal previous campaign.
The Stamford Bridge outfit are already back in pre-season training as new boss Antonio Conte runs the rule over his squad, but Pedro, along with Chelsea's other Euro 2016 stars, has been given an extended break.
The 28-year-old scored eight goals in his debut season in England after arriving from Catalan giants Barcelona for £21million last summer, but he never illuminated the Premier League as Chelsea toiled under Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink.
Pedro was happy with how his first season with Chelsea went and is looking to kick on and 'restore' his side to the summit of Premier League table.
'I'm very happy with how my first year went at Chelsea, especially for adaptation but not so much for the results,' he told La Opinion.
'It was difficult for me and a situation I had never experienced in my career but we all learn and I think what happened will make me stronger.
'In this second year, I hope to improve and contribute more to the club that signed me.
'We have a new coach in Antonio Conte, and I think he can help a lot and restore Chelsea to the place it belongs. I'll do everything in my power to make it so.'
