ARSENAL:– CONGRATS TO JACK WILSHERE ON HIS ENGAGEMENT TO HIS BARBER’S DAUGHTER, ANDRIANI MICHAEL

He endured yet another injury-hit campaign on the pitch with Arsenal but Jack Wilshere still has plenty to celebrate following his engagement to girlfriend Andriani Michael.

Wilshere, 24, started dating glamorous Andriani – the daughter of his barber – following the break up of his relationship with the mother of his two children and popped the question at the weekend.

The midfielder got down on one knee at his other half's surprise 25th birthday party and celebrated his engagement at swanky north London party venues Shaka Zulu and Gilgamesh.

The engagement caps off a memorable few days for the Gunners midfielder, who was named in Roy Hodgson's provisional 26-man squad for this summer's European Championship in France.
Following his inclusion in the squad, which was announced on Monday, Wilshere then revealed on Tuesday that he is now preparing to marry Andriani.

The playmaker, who has two children with his previous partner Lauren Neal, took to his Instagram account to announce the good news by posing for a picture with his glamorous girlfriend.

He captioned the post: 'This weekend the beautiful @andriani_m made me the luckiest man in the world and said yes! Couldn't be happier....love you fiancée.'

Andriani is the daughter of Michael Michael, the owner of a barber shop in Cockfosters where Wilshere gets his haircut and a football scout for Chelsea.

Earlier this year, the midfielder enjoyed a trip to his future father-in-law's shop where he and son Archie, his son with his former partner, got their haircuts.

Wilshere also has a daughter, Delilah, with Lauren but the former couple are believed to have split up in early 2015 before the midfielder hooked up with his current partner.

With plenty to smile about away from football, the 24-year-old will be hoping to get his career back on track on the pitch following an injury-hit campaign.

And Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson believes Wilshere deserves special dispensation as the England midfielder is a 'special player'.

Like so many before, this campaign has proved frustrating for the highly-talented Wilshere, having been derailed by a broken leg towards the end of pre-season.

The long road to recovery meant Wilshere's first start of the season came in Sunday's season finale, playing 69 minutes as Arsenal thrashed relegated Aston Villa 4-0.

It was a display Hodgson watched first-hand and led him to include the midfielder in England's 26-man provisional squad for Euro 2016 less than 24 hours later.

There will be criticism in some quarters given his lack of fitness, and accusations of special treatment too, but Hodgson believes Wilshere is a special case.

'Most of his injuries have been trauma injuries,' Hodgson said. 'I am not worried about him. Obviously, I think he is a real quality player. He ticks all the boxes.

'I had to ask myself certain questions. Is he actually fit now? Yes, he is fit. I had to ask myself if he is the type of player who brings something different to the team, a player we do not have an abundance of? The answer was yes.
