PEP GUARDIOLA will use the next six days to “discover” Antonio Conte’s secrets before Manchester City face Chelsea in the Premier League.
Manchester City and Chelsea are vying for top spot in the league table and both sides won their respective games yesterday.
For Chelsea it was a seventh straight league win - but their six-game clean sheet streak came to an end.
Guardiola welcomes managerial counterpart Conte to the Etihad Stadium next Saturday (12.30pm).
And with neither side playing in midweek, Guardiola revealed after yesterday’s 2-1 win over Burnley that his full focus is now on beating the Blues.
“Now we are going to play against the best team of this moment in the Premier League,” Guardiola said.
“In the last five or six weeks they have played amazing – not just clean sheets but the way they play.
We have to try and discover his (Conte’s) secret and what we can do to beat him.
“We have now six days, seven days to prepare that game.
“Most of the players are tired and that’s why we are going to prepare our game as much as possible.”
City beat Chelsea 3-0 home and away in the league last season - but did fall to a 5-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup.
