British churches on TERROR ALERT: Uk police issue warning for Christian places of worship

CHURCHES in Britain have been put on terror alert amid fears they could be targeted by the Islamic State after a priest was brutally murdered in France.
Father Jacques Hamel, 84, had his throat slit by two demented fanatics at the church in Normandy with one attacker, Adel Kermiche, filming the savage killing on his mobile phone.

The heinous attack has led to security being ramped up at the UK’s 47,000 churches as the murderous death cult targets places of Christian worship.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Neil Basu said: “Following recent events in France, we are reiterating our protective security advice to Christian places of worship and have circulated specific advice today.

“We are also taking this opportunity to remind them to review their security arrangements as a precaution.

“This is part of our ongoing work with faith organisations, as well as other sectors, to help ensure the safety and security of their staff, visitors and members.

“There is no specific intelligence relating to attacks against the Christian community in the UK.

“However, as we have seen, Daesh and other terrorist groups have targeted Christian as well as Jewish and other faith groups in the West and beyond.”

Several worshippers were taken hostage in the attack and one has been left in a serious condition as it emerged the Catholic church was named on an ISIS hit list last year.
