Following new reports that the couple's 15-month relationship ended because he was 'jealous' of the superstar singer's success, the Scottish DJ took to Twitter to clear the air.
'The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect,' he stated.
While initial reports cited an amicable split sans 'drama,' it was later claimed that Calvin just couldn't handle the singer's superstar status.
Indeed a source close to Taylor told People magazine that Calvin ended things with the Bad Blood hitmaker because he was 'intimated' by her accomplishments.
Though Calvin Harris is a star by anyone's standards - in 2015 he topped the highest-paid DJs in the world list with $66million - the insider says he was threatened by her endless accolades.
'[Harris] said on multiple occasions that he was intimidated by Taylor, which is why he would not attend any events where she was being honored, or any award shows unless he was nominated,' the source added.
She reportedly made $100million in 2015.
In May, Taylor co-chaired the Met Gala and at the Grammys in February the 26-year-old took home the coveted Album of the Year award - two major moments Calvin was noticeably absent from.
The former lovebirds were last photographed on May 20, embracing each other as they returned from their Caribbean getaway.
Despite the initial heart break, the source is certain Taylor has put on a brave face: 'Taylor is an independent young woman, and she realizes it will take a very secure man to handle her success.'
Meanwhile a source close to the Scottish DJ told People their romance fizzled due to coming 'from very different worlds'.
The source said: 'Their age difference might not be significant for many couples, but for them it was part of the problem too. Taylor somewhat lacks real-life experience.'
It was further claimed that I Need Your Love artist Calvin, whose real name is Adam Wiles, couldn't meet Taylor's demands.
An insider told E! News: 'Taylor was really disappointed in Calvin and felt like he wasn't there for her.
'The relationship wasn't progressing the way she wanted it to.'
The same source is certain these two won't be reconciling any time soon.
'She felt like he wasn't taking it seriously enough and wouldn't come through for her when she needed him most.
'She felt down and like her needs weren't being met. She doesn't want to get back together.'
