Revealed! Sir. Alex Ferguson made Pogba Cry after the Juventus star revealed he was leaving Manchester United

The Frenchman turned down a new offer from Manchester United in order to leave for Juventus back in 2012 and Pogba's mother has revealed Ferguson wanted him to stay

Sir Alex Ferguson left Paul Pogba in tears after the midfielder revealed that he was going to leave Manchester United.

Pogba, who will be the face of this month's Euro 2016 with host nation France, left Old Trafford in 2012 after failing to secure a regular role in the first-team.


However, Pogba's mother has revealed that Sir. Ferguson treated him so badly after he refused to sign a new contract that he was reduced to tears.

Paul Pogba had only made seven first-team appearances at Manchester United before he left, but Yeo Moriba has revealed how Ferguson tried his best to convince him to change his mind.

“I said: ‘What? Ferguson coming to my house! He came alone’,” she told AFP.

“We had got together with his brothers and we decided: he won’t re-sign.
“Sir. Ferguson punished him, he didn’t play him, and Paul was alone. He even cried in Ferguson’s office over the way he was treated.”

The Juventus player - Pogba has since won four consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus since leaving United.
Now 23 years old, he has remained on Manchester United's radar and has been linked with a possible return to Old Traffor
