Andy Murray names his fantasy Arsenal five-a-side team and includes Thierry Henry and Tony Adams

Andy Murray has picked his dream Arsenal five-a-side team with just one problem - there's no goalkeeper.

Andy Murray has picked his fantasy Arsenal five-a-side team, with Robert Pires, Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry all making the cut
The Grand Slam tennis champion's selection includes three Frenchmen, a Dutchman and an Englishman from recent Gunners history - with Tony Adams, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira making the cut, presumably in a 1-1-2-1 formation.

But the likes of David Seaman, Jens Lehmann and Petr Cech were all snubbed as the Scot, who was beaten in four sets by Novak Djokovic in the French Open final on Sunday, could not bring himself to leave out any of the five outfield stars.

Adams made 669 appearances over 22 years at Highbury, captaining the club to the Premier League title in 1998 and 2002.

Henry remains the Gunners' all-time leading scorer with 228 goals in 377 games for the north London outfit, while Dutch wizard Bergkamp illuminated the English top flight with his silky skills and deft touch on the ball between 1995 and 2006.

Vieira - a giant in the middle of the park - marauded between Premier League penalty boxes for nine seasons and his French team-mate, Pires, was Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year in 2002.

Murray's is a formidable line-up, boasting a combined 2,159 Arsenal appearances and a whopping 513 goals.
Dutch maestro Dennis Bergkamp was selected to create chances by Murray - he played 423 times for Arsenal
Critically, though, the quintet have a total of zero clean sheets with the gloves.

Murray made his choice during a game of petanque with Pires in the run-up to Euro 2016, which begins in Paris on Friday when the host nation take on Romania at the Stade de France.

The 29-year-old, who has two Grand Slam titles to his name, spoke of how he became a Gunners fan.
'I supported Hibs when I was a kid growing up. My grandfather played for them,' Murray said.

'Then, when I started travelling a lot, I couldn't watch Scottish football on the TV any more.
'I started supporting Arsenal because of the way your (Pires's) team played.'
Pires, meanwhile, revealed he is still training with Arsene Wenger's current squad to maintain his fitness levels despite having retired from football.
Tony Adams (right, with Arsene Wenger) made the cut as Murray's only defender in his five-a-side selection
And he called on Wenger to add homegrown blood to his roster this summer.
'Arsenal need English players. The Premier League is very difficult and very tough. You need everything,' he said, particularly mentioning Everton defender John Stones by name.

'He would be a good player for Arsenal. I can imagine Stones and Koscielny at the back, it would be a good defence.'
