Deaf model - Nyle DiMarco - from the runway to mirror ball winner - Crowned Dancing With The Stars winner

    Big winners: Nyle DiMarco and pro-partner Peta Murgatroyd were crowned the season 22 champion of Dancing With The Stars in the finale episode aired on Tuesday night

He was crowned the winner of the 22nd season of America's Next Top Model last year.
And it looks like Nyle DiMarco found his lucky number en route to the mirror ball trophy.

The 27-year-old model and pro-partner Peta Murgatroyd were crowned the season 22 champion of Dancing With The Stars in the finale episode aired on Tuesday night.


MMA fighter Paige VanZant and partner Mark Ballas earned second place, while Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee and partner Val Chmerkovskiy placed third.

The deaf model and 29-year-old New Zealand-born dancer did a cha cha/tango to Calvin Harris hit Summer which earned them another perfect score on the episode and ultimately the big win.

No doubt Nyle and Peta's final Monday night performance had plenty to do with it as judge Carrie Ann Inaba called it the best dance she’s seen in the history of the show.

In the finale episode, Peta sobbed in rehearsals: ‘You’ve lit up my life these last few months, so thank you,’ she told him.

After the dance it was Nyle’s turn to start blubbering, when Carrie Ann Inaba praised his ‘beautiful heart’ in sign language.

‘You have exceeded expectations every time,’ raved Bruno Tonioli.

‘You don’t get no sympathy vote from me, I just judge what I see…and you deserve to be in this final,’ said Len Goodman as they were given 30 out of 30.

UFC fighter Paige, 22, and Mark Ballas held their head up high despite coming in second.
‘I’m so thankful I got this opportunity, I’m going to remember it forever,’ said the mixed martial artist.
In third place was weather anchor Ginger Zee, 35, who had badly injured her back in the final leg of the show.

‘The meteorologist who can dance! Thank you for turning me into that,’ Ginger told her partner,        Valentin Chmerkovskiy as she departed.
 The final was ‘one of the closest in years,’ according to host Tom Bergeron.

      And then there were three: Ginger Zee and partner Val Chmerkovskiy were in the final three before being eliminated

To seal the deal each finalist danced one more time, in a routine they’d learned in just 24 hours.

Len told her she’d ‘lost the routine a little bit’ but noted her massive improvements over the weeks.
‘You have blossomed in front of our eyes, you are a beautiful ballroom dancer,’ agreed Carrie Ann who thought she made a great comeback after the ‘mistake’.

Paige and Mark, who was celebrating his 30th birthday, did a jive/salsa to Thurston Harris’ Little Bitty Pretty One.
‘Hopefully we can bring the mirrorball home for his 30th birthday,’ said Paige, who cartwheeled flamboyantly at the end of the routine.

 ‘If this was judged purely on dance then you’re the one to beat,’ said Len.
‘You’re se*y and you know it, I can see you teasing me with another knockout performance,’ shouted   Bruno.
  They achieved 30.

Grammy-nominated Aloe Blacc performed Let The Games Begin from the film Race.
Earlier in the show the former contestants returned, with montages and outtakes filling two hours of air time.
First to hit the stage was former sitcom actress Kim Fields, who danced with Sasha Farber to English songstress Fleur East.

The Real Housewife of Atlanta, 46, wore a blonde ponytail for her sassy routine.
Paige and Mark then revisited their cage fighting pasodoble with furious intensity.
‘You’d think for the encore she could have let him win,’ joked Tom Bergeron, as Paige theatrically knocked Mark to the floor.
    Racing toward the finish: Marla Maples returned with partner Tony Dovolani as her daughter Tiffany Trump was in the audience thus security was                                                                                    doubled according to TMZ

Marla Maples was part of the show as her daughter with Donald Trump, Tiffany, was in attendance thus the programme beefed up security by doubling up their police detail, according to a Tuesday report from TMZ.
Brothers Maksim and Valentin Chmerkovskiy then gave an energetic sneak peak of their live show ‘Maks & Val Live On Tour: Our Way’.
‘They can see our dreams come true,’ said Val, 30.
Full House actress Jodie Sweetin jived one more time with Keo Motsepe – to It Must Be Love by Alan Jackson.
Next was a love song called From the Ground Up via male duet Dan + Shay – with dance accompaniment from Witney Carson and Artem Chigvintsev.

Boyz II Men singer Wanya Morris returned with Lindsay Arnold for a twirling ‘Charleston, quickstep, jive hybrid’.

The men of DWTS then bared their chests with untucked shirts for a coordinated routine.
Ubiquitous Miami rapper star Pitbull, 35, rocked out to his infidelity anthem ‘Messin’ Around.

The whole crew then united for a summery, surf themed routine with a dancing crab (Sasha Farber) and frilly bikinis.
‘With the exception of Len nobody does crab better than Sasha,’ joked Tom.
