CHELSEA: GUUS HIDDINK TO REMAIN AT CHELSEA IN ADVISORY ROLE... WHILE DIDIER DROGBA AND PETR CECH TO RETURN.

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has confirmed he will remain at the club in an advisory role, which will concentrate on developing youngsters into the first team.

The affable Dutchman stepped in for a second temporary stint at Stamford Bridge after the sacking of Jose Mourinho during the worst title defence in Premier League history.

The 69-year-old steadied the club, but will make way for Italy coach Antonio Conte in the summer.

Speaking on Fox Sports Tafel met Kees on Sunday, Guus Hiddink confirmed he would be staying on - while also revealing he had spoken to Blues 'legends' Didier Drogba and Petr Cech about returning once they have finished their playing careers.

He said: 'I have spoken with Didier Drogba. I spoke with Peter Cech. These are legends.

'They have had much impact here. Once they are really finished their playing career, they can be of great value to the club, such as assistant or scout.'

Chelsea has been criticized for the lack of players coming through their youth system, although Guus Hiddink credits himself with the emergence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Bertrand Traore this season.

'You often see that the young players are not always easy to link up with the first team,' Guus Hiddink said.

'You have to use them through sparingly; otherwise they can end up burnt out.
'I already did that with Bertrand Traore and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but it needs to happen more often.'
