BARCELONA: ARDA TURAN'S FAITH AT THE CAMP NOU COULD BE NUMBERED

Barcelona seem open to the idea of selling Arda Turan only a year after acquiring the midfielder from Atletico Madrid.

The Laliga Chapions signed Arda Turan, 29, for an initial fee of £24m ($38m) last summer, plus £5.4m in add-ons, and they seem already willing to offload him for even a lesser figure.

Turan has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at Camp Nou and is likely to start on the bench again in Barca's Copa del Rey final showdown with Sevilla on 22 May.

PREMIER LEAGUE INTEREST

The Sun claims the Catalans are willing to cut their losses and dispense with the services of Turan, with both Arsenal and Manchester United monitoring his situation.

The versatile 29-year-old can play in every midfield position and is bound to attract offers from several clubs, although Barcelona could demand a high transfer fee as the player has a contract with the club until 2020.

In an interview with Diari Ara in March, Turan said Arsenal was a club he could see himself playing for.

"I felt that I would sign for Barca. In all honesty I used to think, 'If I play very well I will end up signing for Barca, because my style fits into this team. If I play well, I will end up at Arsenal'," he stated.

"Because of my style with the ball, playing simple, short, aggressively when needs be, but above all with high quality, I knew that I could make it at Barcelona."

The Sun says clubs in Turkey, the Middle East and China could also make a move for Arda Turan in the summer.
